Don't break our arts

The arts and culture in Victoria are in crisis. Funding from Creative Victoria to the most important part of the sector – artists and small-to-medium cultural organisations – has declined 35% in 2022 after inflation. Artists are leaving the sector, and cultural organisations are closing.

Don't Break Our Arts is a campaign to restore cultural funding in Victoria. We're calling on all politicians standing in the Novermber state election to commit to restoring and increasing arts funding, and to reinvesting in our cultural scene.

We've started a petition to Arts Minister Vicki Ward and to all candidates in the Vicgtorian state election to restore cultural funding: you can sign it here.
